THIS WEEK'S FOCUS: DEMOLITION AND CONSTRUCTION IN AUSTIN
We've been seeing an incredible amount of tearing-down and
building-up in town. Here are several examples.

DE-CONSTRUCTION ON THE UT CAMPUS
I'm fairly certain that these are the scant remains of the building in
which I had a Government class, back when I was a student at UT.

GIVING UP THE GHOSTS
I had ridden my bike past the destruction of this building on
numerous occasions, without stopping for photos, but this
time I was able to find a fairly interesting vantage point.
REMNANT OF THE PAST
The white brick facade in the middle-ground is all that remains of
the building that once housed the Goodwill Industries of Central Texas,
300 N. Lamar Blvd. Click here to see this remnant-facade as it now appears.
UNUSUAL OVERHANG
I mentioned to the fellow working on the application of the tiles on this porch roof
that I would have no idea as to how one could figure out how to apply these tiles.
He said that he wasn't quite sure, either! Click here to see the finished product.
