This little red bug came very close to accepting my offer of
an index finger to walk on ... then, changed its mind.

Actually, this walking stick seemed very comfortable walking up my arm.

A face only a mother could love. This guy is
only about three-quarters of an inch long!

This little grasshopper was having a feast on my amaryllis plant.
At least it was being artistic with the patterns it was creating.

Something about this little spider reminds me of an American
flag. Its diameter is only about one-half of an inch.

This photograph was taken around 3 o'clock in the morning -- less
than one hour after the cicada had shed its larval skin.

As I was in the process of writing the HTML for this week's Picture of the Week, I noticed
this wasp on the floor. At first, I thought the wasp was dying, but it flew away shortly
after my having taken its photograph. I know it's still in the house ... somewhere.

It looks like the ants got the better of these wasps.
